New York Yankees Make Big Winter Meetings Re-Signing

This wasn't exactly the Winter Meetings deal that New York Yankee fans were hoping for, but the team has announced today that they've handed a 4-year contract extension to general manager Brian Cashman.

The deal keeps Cashman in his roles as Senior Vice President and General Manager through the 2026 season.

Yankee fans were quick to show their displeasure on Twitter.

Of course, the announcement the fans were hoping for is the re-signing of franchise icon Aaron Judge. The offers, from both Cashman and from the San Francisco Giants, are said to be well over $300M at this point, and a decision is thought to be coming within the next day or two.

If Judge is re-signed, then, and only then, might Yankee fans accept the Cashman announcement.
