New York Mets Sign Infielder

The New York Mets are continuing their shopping spree, as they have now signed Danny Meddick to a one-year, $1 million contract.

Mendick was let go by the Chicago White Sox this offseason, but now he has found a new home with the Mets. In 31 games this season with Chicago, the 29-year-old infielder had three home runs, 15 RBIs, and a .289 batting average. Overall, it was not a bad year at the plate for him when healthy, so let's see if he can translate this kind of success over to the Mets from here.

Mendick will be a good utility option for the Mets, as he can play second base, shortstop, and third base. This should allow him to receive a decent chunk of action in 2023.
