MLB Rumors: Miami Marlins Linked to Free-Agent Infielder

According to Jon Heyman, the Miami Marlins have reached out to free-agent third baseman Justin Turner.

Turner is a free agent after spending nine excellent seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. With the Marlins looking to improve their offense, it makes sense that they are considering bringing in a veteran like Turner. Furthermore, Miami is also a younger team, so adding a player with experience like Turner could make him a great mentor to have around.

Turner is coming off of another solid season, as he had 13 home runs, 81 RBIs, and a .278 batting average in 128 games. We will have to wait and see if the Long Beach native ends up becoming a Marlin from here.
