Boston Red Sox Sign All-Star Closer

The Boston Red Sox have made a major move, as they have signed Kanley Jansen to a two-year, $32 million contract.

After a 12-year stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Jansen joined the Atlanta Braves for the 2022 campaign. Overall, it was a solid year for the 6-foot-5 closer, as he had a 5-2 record, 3.38 ERA, and an National League-leading 41 saves. Now, he will be aiming to translate this kind of pitching to Beantown.

The Red Sox have had a fairly quiet offseason up until this point, but now they have added an All-Star closer to their bullpen. We will have to wait and see if this means Boston is set to make more big moves after their horrible 2022 campaign.
