"Significant Development" In Aaron Judge Meetings With Giants

According to MLB Insider Jon Morosi, the San Francisco Giants will be making a formal offer to Aaron Judge later this week after a day of "multiple meetings" on Tuesday. And he says there was a "significant development" in that Judge even met with the Giants ownership.

The Giants are Judge's hometown team as a kid, as he grew up just outside of San Francisco, and Morosi feels the Giants will be capitalizing on that in their discussions with the American League MVP.

"I'm told that it was a day of multiple meetings, and that the meetings went all the way up to the ownership level, so a very significant development there.

"When you consider the thoughtfulness of the Giants and their long history and the number of icons they've had over time, it would not surprise me if the Giants really organized this and consider going back to Judge's emotions as a longtime fan on the franchise, even perhaps even including some of his favorite players as a kid who might have been able to meet with him yesterday."

He expects a formal offer to come from the Giants to Judge later this week. And from that, by the pace that things are moving with the Yankees and now the Giants, Morosi also feels that Judge could sign with a team within the next two weeks.

Even current Giants outfielder Joc Pederson has offered his two cents on Instagram:

"We're ready when you are, 99"
