Oakland A's Claim Infielder Off Waivers

The Oakland A's have claimed Yonny Hernandez off of waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

It isn't too surprising to see that Hernandez has been claimed off waivers. He is still young and has the potential to improve. With that, he is a very versatile player, as he is capable of playing third base, second base, and shortstop if needed. This should help his chances of making Oakland's opening day roster, but especially when remembering that the A's have one of the weakest rosters in the sport.

Hernandez appeared in 12 games this season with Arizona, where he had zero home runs and a .083 batting average. It was a rough year for him when called up, but let's see if he changes things with the A's from here.
