New York Mets Sign 2 Pitchers

The New York Mets have added to their pitching depth, as they have signed Denyi Reyes and Zach Muckenhirn to minor league contracts.

Reyes appeared in his first three MLB games this season with the Baltimore Orioles, where he sported a 0-0 record to go along with a 2.35 ERA. Although the sample size was small of course, he performed well when called upon, and he will be aiming to do the same thing with the Mets in 2023.

Muckenhirn, on the other hand, spent the entirety of last season with Triple-A Charlotte. In 47 appearances on the year, he sported a 3-1 record to go along with a 3.11 ERA. He certainly performed well in the minor leagues this season, so maybe this will lead him to receive some consideration for major league time from the Mets.
