More Indications That Giants The Team That Could Steal Aaron Judge From NY

The San Francisco Giants are absolutely dying for a superstar. They were all-in on Bryce Harper back in 2019 and were in the bidding with the Philadelphia Phillies right to the end. Now they have a chance to land a hometown superstar, and from the way president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi talks, they aren't going to take no for an answer.

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Giants, in addition to wanting a superstar, also "love Bay Area guys," and Zaidi says he "will pay what the market demands."

The Giants have long been thought to be a frontrunner for landing Judge this offseason, but from the way Zaidi addressed their free agency plans, it sounded like money won't be an issue.

MLB Insider Jon Morosi writes that Zaidi said that "no free agent would be 'out of our capability' from a financial standpoint."

Bottom line, it sounds like, if the Yankees aren't willing to meet Judge's asking price, or the MVP-to-be decides to take his talents elsewhere for some other reason, the Giants will certainly not be out-bid.
