MLB Rumors: White Sox To Pick Up Star Shortstop's 2023 Option

He'll be back for 2023.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Chicago White Sox are planning to pick up star shortstop Tim Anderson's $12.5 million club option for the 2023 season.
This one's no surprise. Anderson missed most of the 2022 season due to injuries, including a season-ending left finger injury and a right groin strain. However, he's been a key part of the White Sox's lineup for years and will continue to be.

The twenty-nine-year-old has reached double-digit home runs and stolen bases in five of the last six seasons.

This past season, Anderson slashed a solid .301/.339/.395 line, with six home runs, 25 RBIs, 13 stolen bases and 50 runs scored across 79 games.
