MLB Rumors: New York Mets Interested in 2 Players

According to Tim Healey, the New York Mets are targeting Andrew Heaney and Michael Conforto.

After a disastrous 2021 season split between the Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees, Heaney bounced back beautifully this campaign with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 16 appearances, he had a 4-4 record to go along with a 3.10 ERA. Now, he is set to have several teams linked to him, and it appears that the Mets are all-in for him as well.

Conforto is certainly well-known by the Mets, as he has played all seven of his MLB seasons with them. In 757 games with the team, he hit 132 home runs and had a .255 batting average. With the Mets potentially losing Brandon Nimmo, Conforto could fill back in for him. The one thing to note regarding Conforto is that he lost his entire 2022 season to injury, though.
