MLB Rumors: Anthony Rizzo to Houston Astros Heating Up

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, Anthony Rizzo is the Houston Astros' top first baseman free-agent target.

It is understandable that the World Series champion Astros are looking to add a first baseman, as both Trey Mancini and Yuli Gurriel have hit the free-agent market. Rizzo would surely be a major splash if they sign him, as he is still a very effective power hitter at this point in his career.

In 130 games last season with the New York Yankees, Rizzo had 32 home runs, 75 RBIs, and a .224 batting average. Although he struggled to hit for contact, his power numbers were quite impressive, so he would surely make a notable impact if signed. Alas, let's see if Houston can get him signed from here.
