Cincinnati Reds Sign Pitcher

The Cincinnati Reds have signed Ben Lively to a minor league contract. Along with this minor league pact, he has been invited to attend Spring Training with the big league club.

Lively has not pitched at the major league level since 2019 as a member of the Kansas City Royals. Yet, the 30-year-old will now be aiming to change that with the Reds. First, however, he will need to impress at Spring Training to receive any consideration for a major league spot.

Lively has made 26 appearances at the major league level in three seasons split between the Philadelphia Phillies and Royals. During them, he put together a 4-10 record to go along with a 4.80 ERA. Let's see if he gets the opportunity to change these career totals with the Reds in 2023.
