Blue Jays DFA Two Players

This one's a bit surprising.

The Toronto Blue Jays have designated outfielder Raimel Tapia for assignment.
The Blue Jays needed to make room on their 40-man roster in order to protect a prospect from the Rule 5 Draft and Tapia was the odd-man out, along with outfielder Bradley Zimmer.

The twenty-eight year old slashed a serviceable .265/.292/.380, with seven home runs, 52 RBIs and eight stolen bases over 128 games in his Blue Jays debut.

It would not be surprising in the least to see a team scoop him up off the waiver wire.
