Yankees Activate Pitcher

He returns at a good time.

The New York Yankees have activated pitcher Albert Abreu from the 15-day injured list.
Abreu has been out since late August due to right elbow inflammation and returns to the Yankees' bullpen in a middle relief role heading into the postseason.

He's on the Yankees' roster bubble for their upcoming playoff run.

The twenty-seven-year-old right-handed pitcher has posted a solid 3.32 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts over 38 innings pitched this season in the majors. He's made 32 relief appearances and holds a 2-2 record.
