Rockies Rumors: 3 Players Not Expected Back Next Season

The 2022 season was another underwhelming one for the Colorado Rockies. They finished with an NL West-worst 68-94 record. Naturally, this will lead them to make changes. Here's three players who are not expected back in Colorado next season.

Jose Iglesias: Jose Iglesias has a solid 2022 season, and there should be interest in his services on the open market because of it. The 11-year veteran had three home runs, 47 RBIs, and a .292 batting average in 118 games. Although his power numbers were quite low, he hit very well for contact. He's a reliable shortstop who would be a decent addition for any club.

Alex Colome: Alex Colome struggled this year with the Rockies, and his tenure with the club is likely over. The one-time All-Star had a 2-7 record and 5.74 ERA in 53 games with Colorado this season. Definitely not the kind of stuff that will keep him around, but let's see if his 446 games of experience will lead to another club taking a chance in him from here.

Chad Kuhl: Chad Kuhl also had a hard time with the Rockies this season, and the truth is in his stats. Sporting a 6-11 record and 5.72 ERA in 27 starts, it's likely that Colorado will let him walk through free agency.
