Diamondbacks Claim Pitcher Off Waivers

He's a former sixth-round pick by the Kansas City Royals in the 2017 MLB Draft.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have claimed pitcher Tyler Zuber off of waivers from the Royals.
Zuber posted an underwhelming 5.29 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and a 55/37 K/BB ratio over 49 innings of work with the Royals over two seasons.

The twenty-seven-year-old held a 2.83 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 43 strikeouts over 28.2 innings of work in the minors during the 2021 season. He converted eight saves and held a 1-3 record.

Zuber missed all of the 2022 season due to a shoulder injury. He'll compete for a spot in the Diamondbacks bullpen next spring.
