Bryce Harper With "The Swing Of His Life!"

When the Philadelphia Phillies signed Bryce Harper to a 13-year, $330M contract in 2019, this is the moment they were waiting for (so far). A home run to send the Phillies into the World Series for the first time since 2009.

Harper hit a two-run go-ahead homer to opposite field in the 8th inning, as play-by-man Joe Davis called it, "the swing of his life!"

Harper rocked the HR on the 7th pitch of his at-bat against Padres' reliever Robert Suarez, and told Fox Sports field reporter Ken Rosenthal afterwards in the dugout that the longer the at-bat went, the better it was for him.

His reaction when the ball cleared the fence? "Man, I just did that."

"What a swing, what an at-bat, what a player!" remarked teammate Rhys Hoskins on the field after the game. He, too, has had an incredible NLCS, hitting three home runs with a 1.050 OPS.

Three outs after Harper's blast, Ranger Suarez got the last out in the 9th, and the Phillies had the 8th National League pennant in team history, winning the series in five games.

They'll face the winner of the ALCS in the World Series, which the Houston Astros lead over the New York Yankees 3-0 going into Game 4.
