Astros Set Starter for Game 3

The Houston Astros head to the Bronx with a 2-0 series lead over the New York Yankees.

Dusty Baker and the Astros will start Cristian Javier in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Yankees on Saturday.

Javier probably would have started Game 4 if not for a minor scare with Lance McCullers' elbow and a champagne bottle.

The good news is that McCullers is fine and will be ready for Game 4.

Javier allowed one run in 1.1 innings of relief in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Seattle Mariners, but otherwise hasn't pitched in a game since October 1.

In the regular season, Javier held a stellar 2.54 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 194 strikeouts over 148.2 innings of work.
