San Diego Padres Call Up Outfielder

The San Diego Padres are switching things up, as they have called up Luis Liberato to their major league roster.

This is certainly a big deal for Liberato. Assuming he gets into game action, he is set to make his MLB debut. The 26-year-old has been fighting for this opportunity since 2013 in the minors, and now he is finally getting that chance from the Padres.

To say this promotion is well-deserved would be an understatement. Liberato has had a very strong 2022 season with Triple-A El Paso, and the truth is in his stats. In 99 games, he has 20 home runs, 59 RBIs, six stolen bases, and a .261 batting average. Now he will be aiming to translate this kind of production to the majors with the Padres.
