Rays Select Contract of Versatile Infielder

The Tampa Bay Rays are selecting the contract of Miles Mastrobuoni.

Mastrobuoni plays six different positions and has continued to perform at every level of the minor leagues. 

At the Triple-A level this season, the twenty-six-year-old has slashed a strong .300/.377/.469, with 16 home runs, 64 RBIs, 23 stolen bases and 92 runs scored over 507 at-bats. 

Mastrobuoni will be active for the Rays' series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday. 

The Tampa Bay Rays are currently 82-67, putting them in the second AL Wild Card spot, two-and-a-half games back of the Blue Jays.
