Orioles Option Pitcher

He's struggled this month, and the Baltimore Orioles have made the move in regard to upcoming matchups. 

The Orioles have optioned pitcher Keegan Akin.
Akin has actually had a nice season, overall, posting a solid 3.40 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 71 strikeouts across 76.2 innings of work. Once a former starter, Akin has made just one start this season, making 41 relief appearances, converting two saves and posting a 3-3 record. 

The twenty-seven-year-old will head down to the minors, where he holds a career 3.81 ERA over 378 innings and 80 starts. 

Akin is a former second-round pick by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2016 MLB Draft.
