Detroit Tigers Call Up Infielder

With Miguel Cabrera out for the Detroit Tigers, they had room to call up new talent to their roster. As a result, utilityman Josh Taylor will be joining the major league squad.

This call-up is well-deserved, as Taylor has quietly had a solid season in Triple-A Toledo this campaign. In 125 games for the minor league squad, he has 25 home runs, 82 RBIs, and a .243 batting average. Although he hasn't hit amazingly for contact, he clearly has done well when it comes to power. This is something that the Tigers could use more of.

Taylor is set to make his MLB debut due to this call-up and all eyes should be on him. It will be intriguing to see how he performs from here.
