Cincinnati Reds Pitcher Clears Waivers

Earlier this week, the Cincinnati Reds designated Luke Farell for assignment. This naturally led to him hitting the waiver wire and he has since cleared them.

Farrell has accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A, so he will be remaining with the Reds organization. He had the option to elect free agency, but he will instead test his luck with the Reds in hopes of landing another call-up before the season is over.

Farrell has appeared in six MLB games this season split between the Chicago Cubs and Reds. During them, he put together a 0-0 record and 5.40 ERA. Overall, he has struggled in the majors this campaign, but he will be aiming for a chance to improve those numbers by earning a call-up before the season is over. Let's see if he can do just that.
