Cardinals Place Flamethrowing Pitcher on IL

The St. Louis Cardinals are losing their flamethrowing reliever.

The Cardinals have placed pitcher Jordan Hicks on the 15-day injured list with arm fatigue.

Hicks has not pitched since September 15th and was suddenly placed on the injured list on Saturday. He is also reportedly suffering from neck spasms.

The twenty-six-year-old has posted a 4.92 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 63 strikeouts over 60 innings. He holds a 3-6 record across 34 appearances.

The former 3rd-round pick has the velocity and stuff to be an effective pitcher at the major league level but just has not been able to find success yet.
