Angels Acquire Pitcher from Brewers

The Los Angeles Angels have acquired pitcher Nash Walters from the Milwaukee Brewers for cash considerations.

The club has selected his contract and he has been optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Walters has had a relatively rough season in the minors, registering a 4.47 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, but a strong 66 strikeouts over 48 innings. Over 44 appearances, he has a 6-3 record and has converted one save.

The twenty-five-year-old has a career ERA of 4.31, a 1.52 WHIP, with 257 strikeouts across 219 innings in the minor leagues. He's still young and has pretty good stuff, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the Angels turn his career around from here out.

Walters is a former 3rd-round pick by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2015 MLB Draft.
