Yankees Recall Speedy Outfielder

The New York Yankees are recalling their speedy outfielder.

The club has recalled Tim Locastro from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Locastro gets the call to replace Marwin Gonzalez who was placed on the paternity list earlier today.

The thirty-year-old has appeared in 26 games for the Yankees this season and has hit just .176 with two home runs, four RBI and seven stolen bases.

In the minors this season, Locastro has slashed .240/.332/.727, with three home runs, 18 RBI, seven stolen bases and 27 runs scored over 167 at-bats.

Locastro recorded the fastest sprint speed in all of baseball in the 2021 season. He'll give the Yankees some extra depth off the bench during Gonzalez's absence.
