White Sox Activate Catcher

The Chicago White Sox are getting their catcher back.

The team has activated catcher Yasmani Grandal from the 10-day injured list.

Grandal is batting sixth in the White Sox lineup in Wednesday's game against the Kansas City Royals. He's missed the last couple of weeks with a left knee strain.

The thirty-three-year-old has been absolutely atrocious this year offensively, slashing just .203/.307/.259, with three home runs, 21 RBIs and nine runs scored across 74 games.

In his rehab assignment and other games in the minors this season, Grandal has hit an impressive .389 batting average with three home runs, nine RBIs and seven runs scored over 36 at-bats.

Hopefully, he can get right again offensively to close out the season.
