Tampa Bay Rays Claim Pitcher Off Waivers

The Tampa Bay Rays have claimed Jimmy Yacabonis off waivers from the Miami Marlins. 

Yacabonis was designated for assignment last week by the Marlins, but now he is heading the league's other Florida team in Tampa. With the Rays, he will be hoping to impress and secure himself a permanent spot on their major league roster.

In nine games this season, Yacabonis sports a 1-1 record and a high 6.75 ERA. Let's see if the change of scenery can help him be more reliable for the remainder of the campaign.
