Seattle Mariners Claim Outfielder Off Waivers

The Seattle Mariners have claimed Derek Hill off waivers from the Detroit Tigers.

Hill played in 31 games this season with the Tigers. During them, he had one home run, three RBIs, and a .229 batting average. Overall, he didn't necessarily take the world by storm, but he will be hoping to heat up more as a member of the Mariners. First, he will need to make Seattle's major league roster, of course.

In 95 career games over three MLB seasons, Hill has four home runs, 17 RBIs, and a .240 batting average.
