Phillies Recall Starter

The Philadelphia Phillies want to give everybody in their rotation an extra day of rest.

As a result, the club is calling up starter Cristopher Sanchez to make a spot start on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds.

Sanchez has seen time with the Phillies already this season, throwing 23.2 innings of work with a 3.80 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 18 strikeouts.

He's started just two of the 10 games he's appeared in with the Phillies this season.
