Padres Recall Sixth-Ranked Prospect

The San Diego Padres have promoted their sixth-ranked prospect.

The Padres have recalled infielder Eguy Rosario from Triple-A El Paso.

It's the first promotion to the big leagues for Rosario, who's having a fantastic season, slashing .293/.374/.520, with 21 home runs, 76 RBIs and 20 stolen bases over 113 games with Triple-A this season. He's put up career highs in runs scored, home runs, RBIs and walks this season.

Rosario is a very intriguing prospect, as he contains a valuable blend of power and speed. Rosario was undrafted but signed with the Padres as an international free agent in August of 2015.
