New Phillie Noah Syndergaard Needs To Make Amends With One Phillies Employee

Noah Syndergaard has been very familiar with the Philadelphia Phillies over the years, having pitched against them in the NL East his entire career before this season. So when he was dealt to the Phillies on Tuesday, he quickly went on Twitter to post a hilarious moment from his past in Philadelphia.

Yes, stealing the Phillie Phanatic’s ATV in 2017 is something that the mascot likely hasn’t forgotten, and Syndergaard is aware he’ll need to make amends. He posted the video, along with the priceless caption “Well this is awkward.”

We’re pretty sure that Thor will be on good terms with the Phanatic before long, especially if he helps lead the Phillies to a playoff spot.

Syndergaard has posted a 3.83 ERA this season, his return to the mound after two years away due to Tommy John surgery. He hasn’t pitched since July 25th, so should be able to make his Phillies debut within the next couple of days.
