Kansas City Royals Infielder Sent Down To Triple-A

The Kansas City Royals have sent down Maikel Garcia to Triple-A Omaha.

This is a little surprising to see, as Garcia has played well for the Royals since called up. In nine games, he has an impressive .318 batting average. Yet, that wasn't enough for him to maintain his spot on their major league roster, so he will be heading back to Omaha because of it.

Garcia will be aiming to put together a strong stretch of play from here, as it could be what gets him right back on the Royals shortly.
