Cincinnati Reds Provide Update On Hunter Greene

Hunter Greene was placed on the 15-day injured list earlier this week due to a shoulder strain. There was some concern that the rookie would need surgery, but Bobby Nightengale has now reported that isn't the case.

Although it certainly is disappointing that Greene is missing time, Reds fans can breathe a sigh of relief that the injury isn't severe enough that it needs surgery. With Greene viewed as having an immense amount of potential, they want him back on the mound as soon as possible.

In 20 starts this season, Greene has a 4-12 record and 5.26 ERA.
