Brewers Place Infielder on 15-Day IL

The Milwaukee Brewers are losing their versatile infielder. 

The club has placed Mike Brosseau on the 15-day injured list with a right oblique strain.

Brosseau suffered the injury during Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers and looks like he'll be sidelined until mid-September with this diagnosis. 

The twenty-eight-year-old has been mostly an option off the bench this season, but has performed decently, slashing .258/.341/.417, with five home runs, 19 RBIs and two stolen bases over 56 games. 

Pablo Reyes has been called up in a corresponding move.
