Boston Red Sox Pitcher Sent Down To Triple-A

The Boston Red Sox have sent Josh Winckowski back down to Triple-A.

Winckowski was recently called up to the Red Sox's major league roster, but now he is heading back to Worcester. In 12 starts this season for the Red Sox, he has a 5-6 record to go along with a 5.19 ERA. It's fair to say that he has struggled, so perhaps this demotion could have been predicted.

Thankfully, Winckowski has maintained his spot on the team's 40-man roster, however. As a result of this, we could see him get called up again before the season is over.
