Athletics Place Pitcher on Injured List
The A's have placed right-handed pitcher Zach Jackson on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

Jackson has not appeared in a game for the A's since last Wednesday, so maybe this is something that was bothering him and the team thought a few days off would help. He'll need a little extra time off it appears, however.
Jackson made his major league debut this season and has posted a 3.00 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 67 strikeouts over 48 innings. The twenty-seven-year-old has a 2-3 record and has converted three saves.
He is a former 3rd-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2016 MLB Draft.
