Tigers Pitcher Clears Waivers

Earlier this week, Drew Carlton was designated for assignment. Now, the 26-year-old has cleared waivers, so he will remain with the Tigers organization. He is set to pitch for Triple-A Toledo from here.

Carlton was solid in his five appearances for the Tigers this season, so they are probably happy to keep him around. On the year, he had a solid 2.08 ERA. He will be aiming to keep up this momentum in Toledo, as it could result in another call-up later down the road.

In nine career MLB games with Detroit, Carlton has a 0-0 record and 2.92 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if he can improve on these stats before the season is out. Yet, for now, he will be in Toledo.
