Rangers Starter Placed on Injured List

The Rangers have placed starting pitcher Dane Dunning on the 15-day injured list with a right ankle impingement.

Dunning was pulled from his outing on Sunday against the Tigers after going just 2.1 innings, walking four, allowing six hits and four runs.

Dunning was having a decent season before the Sunday outing, but now holds an ERA of 4.42, 1.42 WHIP and 84 strikeouts over 95 innings pitched.

It's unclear how long the twenty-seven year old will be sidelined for, but will hopefully return after the All-Star break and have a good second half of the season for the Rangers.

Pitcher Kolby Allard has been recalled in his abscence.
