MLB Rumors: Boston Red Sox Shopping Catcher

After dropping to fourth in AL East and losing 28-3 to the Blue Jays, it’s become clear that the Red Sox are trending in the wrong direction. Due to this, the chance of them being sellers at the deadline is continuing to increase. Due to this, one player who is reportedly available is Christian Vazquez.

Vazquez is in the final year of his contract, so he has the potential to be a good rental for a true playoff team. Teams in need of some help behind the plate should give Boston a call about him. The 31-year-old has quietly had a solid season for the Red Sox, after all.

In 76 games this season, Vazquez has eight home runs, 38 RBIs, and a .281 batting average. With that, he also has a World Series ring on his resume, so he knows how to get it done in the playoffs. Let's see where he goes from here.
