MLB Rumors: Angels Entertaining Ohtani Blockbuster For First Time

MLB Insider Jon Heyman says that for the first time, the Los Angeles Angels are taking calls from teams looking to make a blockbuster trade for Shohei Ohtani.

Heyman reports that the Angels would be looking for a team's "4 top prospects" in exchange for the sport's first two-way superstar in over a hundred years.

"They have been engaging when rival executives have mentioned Ohtani," writes Heyman.

Even Ohtani himself cast some doubt on his future with the Angels on Thursday, saying "Right now I’m an Angel, and that’s all I can really focus on at this point.”

In the end, rival teams still believe it is a long shot that Angels ownership OKs  a trade of the reigning MVP by next week's deadline.
