Mets Outfielder Designated For Assignment

Ender Inciarte's time on the Mets' 40-man roster is over, as the club has designated him for assignment.

Inciarte recently was called up to the major league squad after inking a minor league deal with them last month. Since the call-up, the veteran has appeared in 11 games with the Mets, where he has a .125 batting average. Now, he will either be traded or placed on waivers before the week is up.

There could be other teams willing to take a chance on Inciarte when looking at his resume. He is a three-time Gold Glove winner and one-time All-Star with 868 career games played. Time will tell if he finds a new home from here.
