Giants Claim Infielder Off Waivers

The Giants claimed Colton Welker off waivers from the Rockies. 

Welker was recently designated for assignment by the Rockies, but he has now found a new home with the Giants. His debut for the Giants will have to wait, however, as he is set to have season-ending surgery. 

It will be intriguing to see if Welker can make the Giants' major league roster next season. At a minimum, they have added to their depth. There's nothing wrong with that at all.
