Veteran Pitcher Aiming To Make Comeback

According to Jon Heyman, 15-year veteran Cole Hamels is targeting a return to the majors for the 2023 season.

Hamels last pitched in the majors during the 2020 season, where he appeared in just one game with the Atlanta Braves. Injury trouble has not allowed him to make a return to the mound, but the 38-year-old is not losing hope of a potential comeback.

Hamels has had a very good and long career, so it will be intriguing to see if another team takes a chance on him in 2023. In 423 career games between the Phillies, Rangers, Cubs, and Braves, he has a 163-122 record and 3.43 ERA. With that, he is a four-time All-Star and one-time World Series MVP.
