Twins Place Right-Hander On Injured List

The Minnesota Twins continue to face injury problems, now forced to place solid bullpen piece Trevor Megill on the injured list.

The move also gets the Twins down to the maximum 13-pitcher limit that takes effect on Monday.

Megill has a right shoulder impingement, after tossing an impressive 13 innings out of the Twins' 'pen, with a 2.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a 15:5 K:BB ratio.

In exchange, the Twins get an offensive boost, activating outfielder Kyle Garlick from his rehab assignment; he'd been out with a hamstring strain. In Triple-A, the 30-year-old had a 1.005 OPS, with 3 HR in 9 games. In 28 games with the twins this season, he's posted an impressive .890 OPS with 6 home runs and 14 RBIs.
