Marlins Infielder Designated For Assignment

The Miami Marlins have designated Willians Astudillo for assignment.

Astudillo has primarily been a depth player for the Marlins since his call-up, but when utilized, he's done fairly well. In 17 games, he has one home run, four RBIs, and a .270 batting average. Yet, even with that solid batting average, the Marlins have opted to move on from him.

The Marlins have until the end of the week to either trade or place Astudillo on waivers. Let's see what they end up doing from here.
