Cubs Sign Pitcher

Adrian Sampson is returning to the Chicago Cubs, the 30-year-old has signed a minor league contract with the team.

Sampson will be heading back to Triple-A Iowa in hopes of landing an eventual call-up to the Cubs again. He already pitched in a game for Chicago this season, where he pitched a scoreless inning. In 10 games with the team last season, he had a 1-2 record and 2.80 ERA.

The Cubs lost Sampson through waivers to the Seattle Mariners a few weeks ago, but now, they have brought him back to strengthen their pitching depth. Let's see how the veteran does this time around for the Chicago.
