Athletics Pitcher Called Up

The Oakland Athletics are staying busy, as they now have called up Adrian Martinez.

Martinez will be utilized very quickly by the A's, as he is set to start for the team on Thursday. He has made one appearance for Oakland this season, where he threw 5.1 scoreless innings. He will be aiming to continue to have this kind of success from here.

If Martinez can prove to be a reliable pitcher at the major league level, perhaps he will finish out the year in Oakland. Time will tell on that front, but let's see how the right-hander performs from here.
