Angels Call Up Outfielder

The struggling Los Angeles Angels have called up Dillon Thomas to their major league roster.

Thomas has spent the entirety of this season with Triple-A Salt Lake. In 48 games on the year, he has eight home runs, 39 RBIs, and a .296 batting average. That is definitely a solid start to the campaign, so it's fair to say that he has earned this call-up.

Thomas' major league experience is rather low, as he appeared in just four games with the Seattle Mariners last season. During them, he had one hit in nine at-bats. During this call-up with the Angels, he will be aiming to make a bigger impact.
