Yankees Pitcher To Have Tommy John Surgery

For the second straight day, the New York Yankees have announced that one of their pitchers will be having Tommy John surgery. This time, Chad Green is the reliever who will be having the surgery.

This surgery means that Green's 2022 season is over. This certainly is bad news for the Yankees, as the 31-year-old has been one of their top relievers for several seasons now. In 14 games this year, he has a 1-1 record to go along with a 3.00 ERA. Yet, that is where his numbers will end this season.

With Green done for the season, don't be surprised to see them target relievers as we get closer to the trade deadline this year.
